Sponsored Bungee Jump

Two of our fearless Service Locality Managers in Scotland, George McGarry and Kawe Enoka, are doing a sponsored bungee jump on August 11th to raise money for two new local hubs for our Glenrothes service and our Dunfermline service.

The Highland Fling Bungee Jump is described as “a once-in-a-lifetime free-fall experience.” Our daring managers will jump 40 metres towards water from a bridge platform and their airborne flight will reach a speed of over 50mph!

But it’s all for a great cause. Our Real Life Options GO hubs were both opened in the past 12 months, with the aim to promote inclusion and accessibility for everyone within the community. These resources will replace previous day services providing support to many adults, promoting life skills and community integration as well as social interaction.

By raising additional money, our plan is to transform the GO-Hubs into a true centre of excellence in supporting people with learning difficulties and autistic adults.

Within Dunfermline, we plan to use all funds raised to fit out a cinema room, purchase sensory gadgets for our sensory room, plus resources for activities, arts & crafts, as well as develop our kitchen area to promote cooking and baking skills.

In Glenrothes, we hope to raise funds to go towards having a sensory room fitted and developing our kitchen area, as well as buying resources to offer a wide range of activities for everyone accessing the building.
