Real Life Options is a registered charity that supports people with learning disabilities and autism in England and Scotland to live their lives as they choose and reach their full potential.
Our Real Life Volunteers help make a positive difference to the people we support by investing time, donations or organising projects and activities which help bring people together and enrich lives.

Volunteer
At Real Life Options we champion the everyday choices of the people we support. Our Real Life volunteers are vital in supporting this aim, helping to provide greater control to the people we support through community, activity or driver volunteering.
Our volunteers help provide responsive, person-centred support for people with learning and physical disabilities, autism, complex needs and behaviours that challenge. Through their help we are able to offer people pathways to independence and healthy lifestyles, within their own communities.
Could you offer some time to make a real difference to people’s lives? Do you have good communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) and a friendly personality?
As a Real Life Volunteer, you’ll receive a first class induction, on-going training and expenses paid whilst gaining new skills, meeting amazing people and feeling great satisfaction from making a positive difference to people’s lives. Through donations and local fundraising projects, Real Life Options is able to further invest in projects or services which help improve the lives of the people we support. From sponsored walks and marathons to car-boot sales and egg hunts, we’re massively proud of everybody who has helped raise money, organise activities and bring local communities together on behalf of Real Life Options.

At Real Life Options, we aim to deliver initiatives based on improving wellbeing, supporting independence and building greater community connections. As part of this process, the people we support are heavily involved in coming up with amazing ideas for projects or activities which they feel would benefit themselves and others within their local community.
Initiatives across England and Scotland include several garden and allotment refurbishments, providing quiet and sensory areas for people to socialise as well as themed events and celebration parties.
