Outstanding Inspection Results for Real Life Options’ Inverurie Service – With New Community Hub & Events Making a Big Impact

Real Life Options’ Inverurie service has received an outstanding report following a recent full inspection by the Care Inspectorate.

This Grade 1 inspection looked in detail at the quality of care, support, staffing, management, and leadership. Inspectors awarded the service a score of 5 – Very Good in every category, recognising the team’s commitment to delivering consistently high-quality, person-centred support to people we support, noting how varied, meaningful, and person-led they were. She highlighted this as an example of best practice, particularly in a climate where many day services are being cut. She also commented that other providers could learn from Inverurie’s approach to ensuring people live fulfilled, connected lives.

The inspection coincided with the launch of Inverurie’s new community hub, which adds another layer of support to meet individual sensory and communication needs. The team has also been running a busy programme of events from their community hub, creating more opportunities for social connection, creativity, and wellbeing.

The Inspector was enthusiastic about the hub’s potential and remarked that, once fully established, Inverurie could well be on track to receive Grade 6 – Excellent in future inspections.
