Longcroft Receive Excellent Care Inspectorate Feedback
Tuesday 30 January, 2024Congratulations are in order to our Longcroft Care Home service who achieved a level 5 and 6 grade following their Care Inspectorate inspection on 20th and 21st November 2023.
The unannounced inspection looked at two key questions; ‘How well do we support people’s wellbeing’ and ‘How good is our leadership’.
Feedback from the report states that “performance was sector leading, with outstandingly high outcomes for people living at Longcroft.” Tracey Monaghan, Service Manager at Longcroft says, “Everything we do revolves around the outcomes of the people we support. We’ve worked really hard as a team to help evidence outcomes via One Touch.” Used across Real Life Options services, One Touch Health is a multi-functional platform which allows staff to manage every aspect of the needs of people we support simply through recording and sharing relevant information with the key people involved in care delivery. Stephanie MacDonald, Team Coordinator at Longcroft has been instrumental in ensuring the service, and the people we support get most out of the platform. Tracey says, “all the credit to One Touch goes to Stephanie. She uploads all rotas, uploads photographs, scans paperwork and updates support plans and risk assessments”. The inspector was particularly impressed with how the service used these photographs and outcome recordings on One Touch to evidence how people we support are getting the most out of life, and how the information is used to reflect and further plan future support.
Speaking about the incredible feedback Tracey says, “We’ve still got a lot of work that needs to be done to maintain these grades! On our last inspection we achieved an overall grade four (good). It has been hard work but it only works because we all work hard as a team.”
A huge congratulations to the team at Longcroft, keep up the fantastic work!
