Real Life Options Launches 2025 Annual Safeguarding Report

Wednesday 22 October, 2025

Real Life Options has published its 2025 Annual Safeguarding Report, reaffirming our commitment to keeping the people we support safe, empowered, and at the heart of everything we do.

This year’s report highlights significant progress across our safeguarding priorities, including:

· Reducing Restrictive Practices; advancing our two-year strategy to lower levels of chemical and environmental restrictions and improve quality of life.

· Embedding Positive Behaviour Support (PBS); using detailed risk profiles to better understand and respond to individual needs.

· Strengthening Medication Review Processes; enhancing how we analyse trends and support continuous learning.

· Empowering Voices; expanding our MyVoice initiative to ensure people we support can share their experiences and shape our services.

· Investing in Workforce Wellbeing; focusing on leadership development, supervision, and wellbeing support across the organisation.

Group Chief Executive Officer Jean Trench said:

Real Life Options is committed to a person-centred approach in everything we do, supporting people to live safe, happy, and as independently as possible, while ensuring our teams feel valued and equipped to deliver outstanding care.”

The 2025 report also looks ahead, outlining our future plans to strengthen governance, enhance training, and build on our culture of awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement.
