West Lothian Services Achieve ‘Very Good’ Across All Areas in Latest Inspection
Tuesday 31 March, 2026We are proud to share that our West Lothian services have achieved Grade 5 (Very Good) in all areas following their latest inspection by the Care Inspectorate, carried out in March 2026.
This result reflects the consistent, high-quality support being delivered every day, and the positive outcomes experienced by the people we support.
Inspectors highlighted the strong, trusting relationships between Real Life Options staff and the people we support, with individuals feeling relaxed, valued and confident in their day-to-day lives. People were supported to enjoy and develop their interests and build skills that support greater independence.
Service Manager Fay Rodger’s leadership has been key in creating a positive and supportive environment where both colleagues and the people we support can thrive. Her focus on teamwork, wellbeing and high standards has helped maintain quality and consistency throughout.
Fay Rodger said:
“I’m incredibly proud of the team. They have supported each other and the people we work alongside with real care, professionalism and determination. This recognition reflects the effort and commitment they show every day.”
Jean Trench, Group CEO said:
“These results show what can be achieved when we work together with a shared focus on quality and person-centred support. Thank you to everyone in the West Lothian team for the difference you make.”
This inspection outcome reflects not only strong practice, but a culture built on respect, compassion
and a shared commitment to helping people live the lives they choose.
We would like to thank the entire West Lothian team for their dedication, resilience and the positive impact they continue to make.
